Tom Melberg has lived in Aspen since 1975 and has been a member of the Aspen Board of Realtors and a licensed broker in Aspen, Colorado since 1978. Tom is one of the most successful and experienced brokers in Aspen. He owned Thomas A. Melberg Realty for over two decades prior to affiliating with Morris and Fyrwald Real Estate in 2001, which is now a franchise of the world-renowned luxury brand – Sotheby’s International Realty.

Tom’s clients include everyone from CEOs, hedge fund managers and philanthropists to first-time homebuyers. By giving his undivided attention to his clients and forming close personal bonds with them over the years, Tom has been able to operate primarily on a vast referral basis at this point in his career. One of Tom’s many significant sales over the last decade includes the prestigious Aspen Valley Ranch, which he sold in 2007 for $35,000,000. That year he also sold over one hundred million dollars worth of real estate to make him one of the top brokers in Aspen.

Tom attributes much of his success in business to a work life balance. He is quick to acknowledge the role his family and his wife of 30 years, Lindy, as the foundation for his success. They raised three children together who all share their love of the valley. Tom maintains a healthy Rocky Mountain lifestyle by skiing, hiking mountains, playing golf, practicing yoga and fly-fishing with his yellow lab, Molly.

Tom has been a business owner in Aspen since 1980. In addition to owning Melberg Properties, Tom graduated with a pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin Pharmacy School and owned and operated Tom’s Clinic Pharmacy in Aspen for over 20 years. He developed many lifelong relationships at the pharmacy that translated into real estate relationships as well.

When Tom’s children were young he spent many years coaching their youth basketball and ice hockey teams. He has also been a supporter of many local nonprofits including those closest to his heart, Aspen Animal Shelter, Aspen Junior Hockey, Aspen Junior Golf, Aspen Youth Center as well as many other nonprofits in the local arts world.

Maggie is a true Roaring Fork Valley local who was born and raised in Woody Creek. She attended Middlebury College, where she played on and captained the Women’s Ice Hockey team. After graduating in 2012, she spent a year working in marketing in New York City. It didn’t take long for her to realize that she could not resist the Rocky Mountains and everything that Aspen has to offer. Maggie initially worked in the Rental Division at Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s, where she was able to deepen her understanding of what draws the wide variety of people to the Aspen Snowmass area. Maggie is elated to be working alongside her father, who’s passion for his career was her motivator for getting into the ever-evolving world of Aspen’s real estate market. As an outdoor enthusiast, Maggie loves sharing her passions and blending her local knowledge to create a positive experience for her clients in and out of the office.
